Zinc Air Cells

Emergency  power systems

This emergency power system is a sort of primary battery with large capacity. After consuming zinc fuels, the system may be replenished with fresh zinc fuels. And the zinc oxide is recovered as chemical agent of ZnO or as metallic fuel from electrodeposition process. The cost for the fuel will be close to the electricity cost in the future. The ordinary zinc air cells have their electrolyte in the cells, and the self discharge is not inevitable. However, this system has the electrolyte in a separate container and seald to prevent electrolyte deterioration and corrosion loss of the zinc fuels, and has very long shelf life.

The cells activate by pressing a button to puncture the foil separating the electrolyte or turing the valve to flow into the cells. This action may be conducted by manually or automatically. The resulting electrical capacity reaches almost 100% of the initial value for many years.

Military power systems

Zinc air cell systems are well known as their safety and heat and shock resistance, which enable their use for military missions. As for the military robots, the systems may extend the range 2- 3 times than Li-ion batteries, and does not explode and incinerate. This character is important for the expensive robots working on the hard conditions. 

Also the systems will maximize the performance of the radios and the satallite phones. Special forces may want the systems well rugged to withstand shocks form air-drop, the system may have FRP or tough housing to meet the requirement. This system has following features for military application;
